My Journey as a Language Teacher
I’m Jane Castro, a Brazilian Portuguese teacher and English teacher with over 11 years of experience offering online language lessons. I help students from around the world learn Brazilian Portuguese and English online, communicate naturally, and build confidence in real-life situations.
My journey began with a degree in Foreign Trade and a deep fascination with how globalization connects cultures, creating the need to adapt to different languages, traditions, and ways of communication.
Later, I completed a specialization in Translation and Language Teaching Methodology, where I became captivated by the fields of localization and customization, areas that show how language transforms across cultures and contexts.
This approach shapes my 1-on-1 online lessons, making them personalized, engaging, and culturally rich so students stay motivated and reach their language goals while discovering new perspectives.
Mi Recorrido como Profesora de Idiomas
Soy Jane Castro, profesora de portugués brasileño y profesora de inglés, con más de 11 años de experiencia ofreciendo clases en línea. Ayudo a estudiantes de todo el mundo a aprender portugués brasileño e inglés online, comunicarse de forma natural y ganar confianza en situaciones reales.
Mi trayectoria comenzó con una licenciatura en Comercio Exterior y una profunda fascinación por cómo la globalización conecta las culturas, creando la necesidad de adaptarse a diferentes idiomas, tradiciones y formas de comunicación.
Más tarde, realicé una especialización en Traducción y Metodología de la Enseñanza de Lenguas, donde me cautivaron los campos de la localización y la personalización, áreas que muestran cómo el idioma se transforma según la cultura y el contexto.
Este enfoque da forma a mis clases individuales en línea, que son personalizadas, dinámicas y culturalmente ricas, para que los estudiantes se mantengan motivados y alcancen sus objetivos lingüísticos mientras descubren nuevas perspectivas.
